Tachikawa manufactures both Tachikawa and Nikko Nib lines. The Tachikawa nibs tend to be harder and the Nikko Nibs are the perfect balance of not too soft or hard. These pen nibs are legendary as being the finest pen nibs ever produced. Made exclusively of tool steel (a variety of carbon and alloy steel with distinctive hardness and resistance to deformation) and are produced under controlled conditions to achieve exceptional quality.
